Andy was born Andrew Charles SELLSTROM but used the surname MANSFIELD as it was the name of his mother's first husband. He was in contact with his SELLSTROM relatives and all the time he was living at Brighton has a PO Box in the name of Sellstrom. It was not until his mother died and was buried that any one realised that Charles MANSFIELD had died 3 years prior to Andy's birth. But even then it was forgotten and no one really spoke about it again for a number of years.

Katherine was born on 3 Sep 1881 in Heritage Station, Rhynie, South Australia. She was christened on 11 Sep 1881. She died on 16 Aug 1967 in Royal Adelaide Hospital. She was buried in North Brighton Cemetry.
