Obituary "The death of Mrs Violet E R Stevens wife of Robert Oliver Stevens of Strathalbyn, occured in Adelaide on Sunday last. The late Mrs Stevens who was only 52 years old, had been ailing, for little time, and her removal to a city hospital was advised but to no avail. The Funderal took place at Strathalbyn on Tuesday. Besides her husband two sons, Lesile and Harold survive.

Cliff Reed began as an apprentice in 1919 at age 15. He was a third generation Willunga quarryman whose family were living in Willunga by 1863: the three-legged stool had been used by his father and grandfather before him. Cliff was associated with a number of prominent buildings around Adelaide, in particular the Royal Adelaide Hospital, for which he made 25,000 shingles in 1933.
