1. James CONLEY was born about 1798 in Lavey County Cavan Ireland. He died on 5 Feb 1876 in Para Plains South Australia. The cause of death was Apoplexy. He was buried in Salisbury South Australia.

On the 16 September 1859 James Conly bought four hundred and fifty eight acres numbered 161 162 163 and 190 situated in the hundred of Grace, County of Gawler. The sum paid was Four hundred and fitly eight pounds sterling. A pound an acre!

Inscription of grave reads Condley James d 6-2-1876 age 78. Arrived in the Colony in 1840.

James married Ellen RUDDE in Ireland. Ellen was born in Ireland. She died on 3 Aug 1891 in Telowie South Australia. She was buried on 7 Aug 1891 in St Josephs Catholic Cemetery Lower Wakefield South Australia.
